Co-Founder & CEO at Cinder

One of my Cinder co-founders, Brian F., has dedicated his professional life to counterterrorism. He’s written a thoughtful outline of what Trust and Safety teams should consider when it comes to countering terrorism on their platforms. At Cinder, we care deeply about helping T&S teams protect their users. This means speaking with customers and thinking through the toughest issues with them. Some key takeaways from Brian’s post about how platforms should be operating: - Adopt stringent anti-terrorism measures on platforms without compromising the authenticity and informativeness of the space. - Enhance operational readiness through scaled human-review teams to tackle political violence swiftly, particularly in crisis scenarios. - Employ a three-tiered approach in rule-making focusing on actors, behavior, and content to robustly manage terrorist content. (Shout out to Camille François on this!) And for those who would rather listen than read, Brian talked through similar ideas with the Stanford Law School’s Moderated Content podcast with Alex Stamos and Evelyn Douek, I genuinely learned a lot listening to this and highly recommend a listen! https://lnkd.in/ghh_T2Z2 https://lnkd.in/gxi-HuYK
