The Belvedere Vodka 10 teaser campaign is the epitome of luxury with a deep understanding of culture. And I’m obsessed for 3 reasons: 👉🏾 LVMH knows how to talk to people. They’ve re-positioned their brands to be part of modern culture through iconic celebrity features. This Belvedere campaign concept began with Daniel Craig’s meme-worthy dance moves in the 2022 ad, featuring Giggs. And recently Hennessy released a campaign starring Damson Idris and Teyana Taylor. Now, we have Future and Taika. 👉🏾 Showcasing Black Luxe. Black culture is often represented via themes of difficulty and resilience. This ad represents ‘Black Luxe’, a part of the black experience often overlooked in the media. 👉🏾 Cowboy Era. Many people aren’t aware of how deep cowboy culture runs in the Black community. In the early 1800s, 1 out of every 4 cowboys was Black. And horsemanship remained an important part of many African American communities well into the 1950s. Recently, we’ve seen more of this represented in modern media, In the 2021 Cowboy Western film, ‘The Harder They Fall’, starring Idris Elba and produced by Jay-Z and James Lassiter. And more recently in Beyoncé’s ‘Cowboy Carter’ album. The cowboy storytelling continues here, showing that even brands are opening up the history books. Bravo Belvedere. 👏🏾

LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, the world’s leading high-quality products group, recorded revenue of €42.2 billion in the first half of 2023, up 15%. Organic revenue growth was 17% compared to the same period in 2022. All business groups achieved double-digit organic revenue growth over the half year, except for Wines & Spirits, which faced a particularly high basis of comparison. In the second quarter, organic revenue growth was 17%, in line with trends seen in the first quarter. Profit from recurring operations for the first half of 2023 was up 13% at €11 574 million.
