Over the last few weeks, I pushed myself to redesign my portfolio and used Framer to build it. 🔨 Why the redesign? - I wanted to capture (or try to capture) my growth as a designer over the past year. - I wanted to challenge myself and add my own flavor and personality to my portfolio. Previously, I would just copy "trendy", "dark mode", "cool" UIs. I realized that my portfolio was far from my style and definitely didn't reflect my personality as a designer. - I was itching to learn a new no-code tool. Framer is amazing! It's intuitive (with a very similar UI to Figma), fast, and flexible. - I wanted to highlight the exciting projects I recently worked on. One frustration I have with infinite canvas design tools like Figma and Sketch is writing and viewing documentation. You must create pages and use font styles to make it look like a document. However, readers struggle to find the right viewing distance to consume the content. My idea would be to add built-in documentation support. When creating a page, users can select a document to generate a template with a fixed width, making it easy to add and edit content. You also have the side panel, which can change to reflect document editing controls, saving screen real estate. I imagine this going even further, allowing users to link created components or even development specs. I recently discovered Framer and started learning it a few days ago. Within a short span of 3 to 4 days, I learned a lot! Framer is super easy and user-friendly, especially if you are familiar with Figma. It's like a piece of cake for you. Lately, I've been playing here and there with Figma to explore new ways of visually shaping ideas I have in the back of my mind. Started everything with (of course) Jack Butcher's course and now exploring more and more. In this case, I've took a quite famous and highly anticipated generative art piece from the artist Batz (@batzdu on X) and re-coloured it by using different palettes. This one's a Pepe the Frog one 😂 What would you suggest to a newbie using Figma? How to jumpstart my experience with the tool?

If you didn't know, I am quite the fan of FigJam. 😘 If I'm honest, I spend hours a week throwing ideas at a board to wrap my head around a new idea, or building out a brainstorming session with the team.
