At Drivemode, Language is No Barrier to Brilliance! Most of Japanese engineering professionals possess adequate English skills for work collaboration yet concerns about fluency often lead to hesitation when applying for positions abroad or at English-speaking companies. We’re rewriting the script on what an English-speaking tech company looks like. At Drivemode, communication transcends language barriers. Not everyone here is an English guru, and that’s the beauty of it. We’re a melting pot of ethnicities, cultural backgrounds, and language skills, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s not about being fluent in English; it’s about being yourself and bringing your A-game to the tech playground. Picture yourself working alongside people from various backgrounds and age groups, where the atmosphere is not just professional but also friendly and inclusive. Imagine how you would enjoy the camaraderie of genuinely good-natured individuals selected from around the world not because of which country’s passport they have but because of the excellence they achieved in their specific field and the values they hold. We believe that diversity isn’t just about where you’re from and what language you speak; it’s also about the perspectives you bring to the table. Want to shape the future of mobility experience together? Let’s have a friendly chat!

Helping non-native English-speaking IT Professionals with their Communication and Presentation Skills | CELTA | English Coach
Do you want to fit in the team of your English-speaking colleagues, to better understand them, express yourself and feel more confident? Then try using idioms. It's quite common to hear English speakers use this one in business environment: Blue-sky thinking. When you look at a problem from a blue-sky perspective you don't rule out any solution, no matter how infeasible it may seem. It's often used to describe an idea session, which involves a group of people looking at an opportunity with fresh eyes. Here're some examples to help you remember it: E.g.#1: We need some blue-sky thinking to come up with new ideas to create a revolutionary digital product. E.g. #2: Some developers are good at blue-sky thinking but cannot translate it into practical change. Blue-sky thinking implies that no idea should be rejected as silly, because an idea that seemed silly at first may turn into a great idea. If you feel that you need to learn more idioms or have speaking practice, don't hesitate to drop me a message, so that I could help you reach your professional and personal goals and set new ones. Remember, the sky is the limit! 💫 #EnglishCommunication #ProfEnglish #ITprofessionals #EnglishSpeakingSkills
