Last week, DoorDash General Counsel Tia Sherringham joined Fortune Most Powerful Women for a community dinner in San Francisco. As a co-founder of our Women@ Employee Resource Group and a dedicated advocate for women in leadership, the dinner was a wonderful opportunity for Tia to continue building a community of powerful women - inside and outside of DoorDash!

Celebrating the Heart and Dedication of Women in Business This Mother’s Day, I feel especially grateful and inspired to celebrate the remarkable mothers who are not only nurturing families at home but also driving success in the business world. Working at CareMaster, I'm surrounded by women who demonstrate every day that leadership and motherhood are not mutually exclusive. Our company stands firm in its commitment to fostering an environment where women can thrive in their careers while being supported as mothers. It’s not just about creating equal opportunities—it’s about recognizing and valuing the dual roles many women hold and the extraordinary skills this brings to our workplace. As we mark this special day, let’s honor the incredible women who manage to weave together the demands of business leadership with the responsibilities of motherhood. Their resilience, dedication, and leadership enrich our company and society as a whole. Let’s keep pushing for workplaces that respect and enhance women’s contributions at all levels. Here’s to celebrating the powerful impact of working mothers today and every day! Happy Mother’s Day to all the phenomenal mothers shaking up the world of business! #MothersInBusiness #WomenInLeadership #EmpoweringWomen #MothersDayCelebration #Leadership

I connect dots between people, processes, projects, and programs to design learning that really sticks.
She believed she could... ...and her team believed in her too, so she did. It's pretty amazing to work somewhere that champions and celebrates women across every function, at all stages of our careers - along with our male allies. This week, I got to connect with some other local women doing big things at HelloFresh as part of our local Women Inclusion Network (WIN) chapter. Not only are we included as women here - but we're empowered to bring our truest, fullest selves to the work we do. It's inspiring to get to know the people you work with daily or see on screen on a deeper level - and I was amazed by what the women here bring, and what they've been through. As someone in our group shared, sometimes we don't know how strong we are until we have to be strong - and we've all been there in different ways as women. My wish for all women out there, especially those of you just starting out in your careers, is to know and own your strength. Don't let anyone tell you you're too much or not enough. Celebrate the parts of who you are and where you come from that fuel your strength. Believe you can, and you will. And most of all, reach out if you ever need another woman in your corner cheering you on - we're strongest when we rally each other and bring other women up with us as we rise. Thanks to Dawn Stoutenburg and Heather Brucker, MBA, PHR for putting this on! #womenshistorymonth #womeninleadership #culturematters #peoplefirst #diversity #inclusion

This #InternationalWomensMonth, we're shining a light on the Empowered Women of our Squad who help us rise. This week, we celebrate the PIEoneers, our tenured employees with notable career growth in the organization. Let's hear from Gwen Sugay: 1. Who is a woman that has inspired you in your life, and why? -My mother. She has shown strength despite all the challenges she has encountered. Never did she show weakness in front of her children. 2. How has your journey at Yellow Cab Pizza empowered you as a woman? -Yellow Cab has treated me equally as the other employees. There is an atmosphere of belongingness and my works are being recognized. 3. What advice do you have for aspiring women looking to thrive in the workplace? -Believe in yourself and don't let downfalls pull you down. Instead, treat them as challenges to thrive harder. #EmpoweredWomenOfYC

This also applies to leadership positions.
“There is no role model for women if you only have one woman working in the company. A lack of support and advocacy.” Małgorzata Bieniaszewska's workshop on: The Roadmap to Leadership: Women Steering the Future of Automotive Innovation. Some great discussions about how we can work together to empower, uplift and drive change for women within the automotive industry 👏

CEO & Founder of Startup Parent | Wise Women's Council | Award-Winning Podcast Host | NCAA All-American | Mindset Entrepreneur
This Fall, we'll welcome the 8th cohort of amazing business moms to The Wise Women's Council. I was just looking back at some of the earliest cohorts. Here's a snapshot of memories and quotes from the members of the 2020 cohort—a year that was wild beyond what anyone could have expected. "Sometimes all I want is just ONE place to talk about all the things—business, babies, being a woman, your career." — @thedecisiongeek "People are not talking about the intersection of work and parenting enough." — @BreaStarmer you are talking about it! "I had so much to process and I didn't realize it." — @sharonstolt your ability to be real and grounded and honest is world-changing. It's the leadership we need so much more of. "The group of women you put together was great. They made the program." — Katie, it's people like you and your ability to be so open that make this so great. "I realized that if I ever wanted to have a family, live the life I wanted, I was going to have to make something new and build it myself." — @erinmarysimpson "Sarah was a thoughtful and committed guide through the process. I found the monthly rhythms and check-in calls with her to be wildly helpful." — Amy! I loved spending time with you. What I've learned as the creator of the program, and from all of you in WWC, is how much more we need each other. We need to be able to share how much changes when our identity shifts. We need a space to be able to express our grief, our anger, our rage, our bewilderment, our confusion. WWC is a leadership incubator, yes. It's a place for leaders to come together in an authentic, brave, and trusted space, so we can make sense of just how much we have going on in all of our lives—and find ways to craft new narratives and paths forward. Apply to join us this Fall. The deadline to apply is September 14th.

Let me go on my soapbox for a second.... 99% of companies will talk about their DE&I goals. They post it everywhere, they use is as a marketing tool, they recruit with the metric.... But in reality.... They are engineering to meet a number, NOT to do the right thing. So, why is LASSO different? Why am I so proud of this event and to work with these women? Because we do the right things and this is what happens! We interview a diverse candidate pool. We search for candidates to make sure we have a broad range of knowledge, experience, gender, thought and then we hire the BEST candidate for the role. For us... its not about a number. It's about finding the people who are the best of the best!! The outcome, 50% representation of women at a tech company (where the industry norm is 19%). No managing to meet an arbitrary number here......
At LASSO, women make up 48% of our workforce—soaring above the tech industry average of 19%! 💥 Even better, 54% of our leadership team is composed of incredibly talented women including: Angela Alea, Jennifer Watson, Allison Shockley Bailey, Danielle Porter Condon, Julie Edwards, Christy Petrosso, PhD, & Emily Rittenhouse. Last week during our Charleston offsite, we celebrated this talented group at a special women's breakfast. Their drive and passion pave the way as we continue building something remarkable. 🌟
