It's #AAPI Month and arguably one of my favorite times of the year but that's because I reflect on the impact of growing up in such a terrific culture in Japan 🎌 has made on me.
🤔 What is it?
AAPI recognizes the contributions and influence of #AsianAmericans, #NativeHawaiians, #PacificIslanders and many more to #history, #culture, and #achievements. (see a map by GBV here: https://lnkd.in/gH6ndbRj)
🤗 Why is it important?
Like with other groups, it's important to recognize that every person is different and makes a difference. Their story is important to tell; your story is important to tell. Without these stories and impact, change can't happen.
🗣 Great! But what difference can I possibly make?
🔺 Yield 🔺 to make space for those around you
👂 Listen 👂 with purpose and understanding; this is where we learn the art of compassion, support, and build relationships over time.
📖 Learn 📖 other cultures, heritages, beliefs and customs to expand your #worldview. Understanding cultures helps us as a society overcome (and prevent) racial and ethnic divisions which are so prevalent now
💨 Act 💨 by standing up for what's right! Take action by speaking up when injustice is taking place
#BeHuman. #BeAuthentic. #BeAccepting.
It's not hard... really.

"As a Bengali American, I'm endlessly grateful for the beautiful fusion of values and traditions that define my identity." Read on to learn more about Tasmima Hossain, a Consultant on our Data & Analytics team, and the next spotlight in our Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month series.
What is your favorite AAPI fact?
Tas: The "Asian/Pacific American" designation encompasses over 50 ethnic or language groups, including native Hawaiians and other Pacific Islanders. I think it’s important to recognize that AAPI is not a monolith but rather a collection of unique cultures and subcultures. We should understand and celebrate the richness and complexity of this community.
How has your heritage shaped who you are today?
Tas: My heritage is a deeply integral part of who I am; it has both shaped my identity and influenced my understanding of the world. As a Bengali American, I'm endlessly grateful for the beautiful fusion of values and traditions that define my identity. In Bengali culture, community is everything. That deep sense of belonging and togetherness has been ingrained within me, leading me to care for those around me and appreciate our multicultural society.
Why is it important to have diverse representation in the corporate world?
Tas: Diverse representation is essential, not only in the corporate world but everywhere else too. When people from different backgrounds are represented, it reflects the reality of our world and promotes inclusivity. Moreover, seeing individuals who share their backgrounds in various fields can inspire younger generations and make them feel supported, encouraging them to pursue their aspirations with confidence.

It was by no means an easy six months, or three years, or a decade. At the heart of hometown chaos, where voices for peace were punished, and amidst an identity crisis with an overwhelming yearning to belong to a community of like-minded individuals, I vividly recall every step of the journey.
From discovering dead bees on my porch in the bustling city of Istanbul and learning about the colony collapse disorder, to laying the philosophical groundwork leading to Eurydice, aiming to reconcile technology with nature in my business practices. I faced the challenges of building anything #sustainable to avoid burnout at the precipice of it all, and learned the keys to #regenerative#collaboration and business models through life lessons.
What it demands is '#inclusion.' It necessitates the #empowerment of one another. It calls for effective and genuine collaboration, solely for the sake of service alongside mutual benefit. I am thankful and grateful that, even within three months, the concepts I hold central to my business practices are evolving into something greater. I named it 'Core,' emphasizing collaboration and reciprocity, only to realize that it is not a simple 1-to-1 relationship—it's far more organic.
When you truly serve and host peers in the house of your heart, if you do it with the expectation of reciprocity, it becomes nothing more than a barter. Because only a small portion of recipients will reciprocate, expecting it from everyone sets you up for frustration and disappointment. Committing oneself to regenerative community and technology practices, especially in a profit-driven business world, means risking giving too much and receiving from only a few. But finding those few makes it all worthwhile.
Do not fear inclusivity; show compassion when others fail to reciprocate. Leave space for others to find their own ways to reciprocate. It doesn't matter who is the receiver or giver; what matters is contributing to a nurturing culture, systematizing support, and that's what I want CORE Tech & Art Hub to represent.
Robert Ian Bonnick 🇮🇩 Business Growth Strategist In Indonesia is an embodiment of this principle and among the tops of my list of givers. While I hosted many for years and provided contacts in Satoshi Twenty One, he hosted me many times at SpeakuP Monday, and this time it was about me and Core. My beloved Tracey Bowen, founder of H.E.R. DAO is also at the top of that list, where her nurturing care and friendship restore the culture of collective support.
I wanted permissionlessness to be a model for inclusivity and our capacity to accept different cultures, value hierarchies, habits, and neurodivergent brains so that we could benefit from a diversity of talents. Everything is a double-edged sword.
I am grateful and thankful for everyone accepting my idiosyncrasies, my unique stance, and supporting my journey. Core is a mission for me to evolve into a better practitioner and an invitation for all to meet at that Core.

In this talk, Rizki Yogaswara and Alex Titlyanov will explore
- why it makes business sense for them to accelerate a LeSS adoption to the whole organisation (against the recommendation of LeSS to do the adoption one requirement area at a time),
- what are the specific factors and conditions that enable the rapid adoption,
- the risks, and challenges the speakers see going forward,
- and why they advise against other organisation following their footsteps to rapidly adopt agile at scale.
DKATALIS is the product development arm who created PT Bank Jago Tbk, one of the leading Digital Bank in Indonesia. Launched in 2021, we now have 5 million active customers, among the few digital banks who are already profitable, and also one of the largest in the country by market cap.
They started their LeSS adoption in March 2022 in 1 product area of 40+ people, in 1 year time they expanded the adoption to almost the whole organisation (they flipped additional 5 product areas, totalling more than 200 people).

One of my favourites, I sing in full mood whenever any RJ plays it on the Radio.
I am a boring person and rarely make new friends. All my friends are from 25-30 years ago; there have been no new additions.
But something strange happened in the last one and a half years when I worked with such a fantastic group of people. I don’t want to name all of them; it will be a bit embarrassing for them 😊
One such individual is Professor Parminder Singh Sandhu, a truly exceptional person whose vibrant spirit shines through when we celebrate Holi together.
Holi isn’t just about colors. It’s about friends coming together, laughing, and making memories. Mixing colors with friends during Holi can surprise us with new shades.
Similarly, in our work lives, combining different ideas, just like mixing colors, can lead to something wonderful.
Let’s bring that spirit of friendship and creativity to work. Bring your ideas, and let’s mix them with others. It’s time to create new colors of Innovation powered by collaboration and creativity.
Join our Innovation Workshop at AgileWoW. It's more than learning; it’s about building connections, creativity, and inspiring each other. Like Holi, we mix different thoughts to create new solutions.
