Come for the global wicked problems – like unprecedented extreme weather events and the impacts they’ve had on chemical facility security. Stay for the solutions – like how to maintain facility security while working with first responders and the community to compassionately address unhoused persons on private property. What I love about this session at the Chemical Security Seminars is it’s truly a conversation among peers. Not only do we get to hear Matt Fridley, Todd Mesick, and Alfonso Cavazos talk about their experiences with these unique issues, but we get to hear from you too! See you on July 11 and 18! #ChemicalSecurity #AI #ArtificialIntelligence #ClimateChange #ExtremeWeather #WickedProblems

CFATS is needed right now and for the foreseeable future. As is CWMD. Reauthorizing both is a step towards maintaining national security.
Thank you to AFGE and US Steelworkers for your support for the #CFATS program! CISA urges Congress to #ReauthorizeCFATS as soon as possible to allow our Chemical Security Inspectors to conduct inspections

Going through the 98 federal agencies in 98 days. Day 14: United States Chemical Safety Board Budget: $20,959,527 This is one of what I am going to start calling recommendation agencies. There’s no regulatory authority, no adjudication authority, and no enforcement authority. This agency just conducts investigations of chemical spills at stationary factories. This is the definition of a redundant agency. This is a law enforcement function that should be squarely at the state and local level. This is an easy one. Let's get rid of it. #federalagencies #TexasConservative #TX31
