Being your authentic self gives a sense of respect and inclusiveness. Whether that's your race, ethnicity, social background or just simply your individual needs. People want to be heard and respected. They want to see their needs in action. When peoples needs are disregarded they cant be their authentic selves. Trust is lost and the cost of doing anything together goes up. Build trust, build inclusiveness, and build an environment where all people can be authentic.
