For the new Rider (Grendene S/A) x National Basketball Association (NBA) campaign, we connected past and future, crafting the creative concept by decoding ongoing cultural shifts in tune with basketball. Many insights emerged from this desk research, but our starting point was that DREAM TEAMS DREAM BIG. That's why "OUSE VOAR ALTO — na quadra, na rua, na vida" became our tagline and core motivation to imagine this whole narrative. In the art direction, we approached a theme: basketball is all about being BOLD and being in MOTION. The visual references came from a multifaceted spectrum, integrating retro (afro)futuristic aesthetics, silver elements, and statement typography. We combined classic codes that remind us of past decades and ancestry with futuristic and spatial elements, giving us a sense of both legacy and hope for the future regarding basketball.
