As someone that is generally quiet about accomplishments or general life updates, I thought I'd take the time to post a bit about how I'm doing this semester with school. 😊 As some know, I recently decided to go back to school for a graduate degree, after a decade of being out of university since my Bachelors. I wanted to challenge myself and sharpen my toolkit, grabbing my Masters in Business. I'm happy to announce that after my first semester at Monash University, I obtained a 3.75 out of 4 for my GPA (HD, HD, HD, D). My classes ranged from marketing to a business and company law class. Grateful is the word I'd use to receive such a grade point for my first semester. I'm so glad that my hard work, studying, and planning skills helped me achieve this result, along with the help of my examiners, friends, and colleagues. I will probably post an update like this every semester. I hope that my post is a small reminder that if you work hard and be diligent, and give your best, you can make magic happen. 💚

Applying School Knowledge Finally, I challenge you to revisit what you learned in school and consider how applicable it is to your current role. While some professions require a direct application of academic knowledge (think doctors, lawyers, engineers), many of us find that a significant portion of what we learned doesn't directly relate to our daily tasks. This challenge isn't about diminishing the value of education but rather about recognizing that the practical, real-world skills we acquire can often be equally, if not more, essential.

MBA in Finance & Operations | Lloyd College 🎓 | 'Money Lovers' & 'The Good Samaritans' Alum | Apollo Hospital Intern | Eager to Drive Business Excellence & Community Impact 🌐💼
🌟 Prioritizing fairness in examination scheduling! 🌟 Dear APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University , As we delve into discussions on ethical examination practices, it's crucial to consider the upcoming dates and their impact on students. With exams such as Innovation and Entrepreneurship on March 18th, followed by Managerial Economics and Operations Planning and Control on the 19th, and Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management on the 20th, the challenge becomes evident. Despite gaps between some major specialization exams, the concentration of Operations-related subjects within a short timeframe presents a significant hurdle for students. This imbalance not only adds pressure but also undermines their ability to comprehensively study and excel in all subjects. Additionally, as educators teaching management, human values, and professional ethics, it's imperative that we embody these principles in our actions. Let's address this issue with empathy and a genuine commitment to student well-being, ensuring that every decision reflects our dedication to fairness and inclusivity. Together, let's advocate for a balanced and student-centered approach to examination scheduling, where every student has the opportunity to succeed. #EthicalExaminationPractices #AKTUCommunity #FairnessInEducation #StudentWellbeing

As we continue our discussion on ethical examination practices, it's crucial to shed light on the additional challenges students face beyond just the exam schedule. Consider the plight of students who not only have to contend with long commutes to the exam center but also endure lengthy exams before making the journey back home. The physical and mental toll of such a demanding routine cannot be understated. After enduring the stress of exams, students are then required to return home, only to find themselves back in the cycle of studying for upcoming tests. This relentless cycle not only affects their academic performance but also takes a severe toll on their health and well-being. This situation is far from justified. It's imperative that we address these concerns and work towards creating a more supportive and student-friendly environment. Let's advocate for measures that prioritize student health and well-being, ensuring that our actions align with our commitment to fairness and inclusivity. Together, let's strive to create an educational system where students are empowered to succeed without sacrificing their health and well-being. #StudentHealthMatters #EthicalExaminationPractices #AKTUCommunity #FairnessInEducation

🎓 With a deep sense of accomplishment and gratitude, I announce my graduation from IE University, where I completed a Dual Degree in Business Administration and Law this past July. The journey has been intellectually stimulating and deeply enriching, culminating in the submission of two theses that I believe embody the intersection of innovation, business, and legal prudence. In the realm of business, my final project titled "The Disruptive Potential of AI in News Content Distribution" explored the transformative effects of artificial intelligence on media landscapes. Special thanks to my supervisor Eduardo Pedreño, whose guidance was instrumental in navigating the complex interplay between technology and content dissemination. Simultaneously, in the field of law, I delved into the crucial topic of "The Value and the Limits of Human Oversight in the AI Application." My profound appreciation goes to Antonios Kouroutakis for his supervision, providing a foundation that enabled me to critically analyze the nuanced balance between human control and AI autonomy within legal frameworks. Both endeavors have not only sharpened my analytical skills but have also given me a broad perspective on the ethical, societal, and commercial implications of AI in our modern world. As I reflect on the past five years, I am immensely thankful for the rigorous academic environment at IE University, which has been pivotal in shaping my professional and personal growth. As I transition from student to alumna, I am filled with excitement for the future. 🎉 #IEGraduation #DualDegree #BusinessAndLaw #ArtificialIntelligence #FutureOfAI #AcademicJourney #ThesisAcknowledgment #GratefulGraduate

Rethinking the Value of a University Degree 🎓 Recently, a large university offered me an advisory board position. They also wanted me to enroll employees from my company in the program. I was excited to advise and help improve the program, but I declined when the emphasis seemed to be on filling seats and not creating value. This prompted me to reconsider the worth of a university education. Is a university degree still the gold standard for success, or are institutions simply aiming to fill seats? Additionally, many institutions are also waiving standardized test requirements, such as the ACT or SAT. If the bar has been lowered, is there still value? Is the primary objective revenue rather than education? I'm seeing many alarming issues. What are your thoughts on this topic? Is a university education still worth it, or are alternative paths gaining ground? #HigherEducation #UniversityDegree #CareerPaths #advisory #degree #scam #college #program
