Let’s talk about Christie’s cyber attack. Last week, Christie's Auction House's website fell victim to a cyberattack, just days before their Spring Marquee Week of 20th and 21st Century Art Auctions.  As the art world increasingly shifts online—from client portals to digital cataloging systems—the risk of cyberattacks has grown for both large institutions and small galleries alike. So here are three lessons from this incident to imrpove your cybersecurity: 1. Use Unique Passwords for Different Platforms If a hacker cracks one password, they can access all your accounts. Diversify your passwords to keep them guessing and your accounts secure.      2. Keep Software and Systems Updated Hackers often target outdated systems with known points of weakness. Regular updates can close these gaps and protect your data.      3. Assign Individual Logins Sharing login credentials with your colleagues increases the risk of security breaches. Ensure every team member uses a unique login for each application and system to minimise risk of a spreading your login credentials across your email, whatsapp, slack or a piece of paper.       What strategies are you implementing to safeguard your digital presence?
