Two weeks ago, I was at #RampUp24 kicking off a three-day marathon of over 40 meetings.   While I was there, three things occurred to me over and over again:    👱🏼♂️🧔🏽♂️👩🏻 - there's nothing like face-to-face meetings, even if they are just 30 minutes long. The insights, thought starters and action points that came out of our meetings over three days felt equivalent to six months’ of remote networking as a #smallbusiness. 🧨 - there really is an #identity crisis in the world of #digitaladvertising right now and very few have all the ‘answers’. What is clear though, is that more signals will be lost unless the industry starts to view consumers on the receiving end as people rather than just targets. 👀 - consumers want more transparency and control over their #data, and regulators have responded with extensive laws. As a result, when we start talking about #compliance, people listened. It’s clear that #privacy-compliant ID solutions like WINR are needed to help bridge the #identity gap. By connecting digital and terrestrial identifiers, such as email address, mobile phone and home address, we can support our clients to deliver more relevant #advertising to people, wherever they are receiving their information.   And lastly, if I ever want Malcolm Treanor to do anything in the future, all I need is the promise of puppies and he’s IN! 😉

#techtiptuesday | The Okta post-mortem shines the light on something I recommend to folks in general: First, don't sign into personal accounts on a work PC browser if you have any sort of privelaged access. Even if you don't have admin, and really must use / view personal content - I'd recommend using profiles in Edge or Chrome to separate the access and stored information. When it comes to online surveys, there are several fraudulent methods that individuals can use to manipulate their participation, leading to inaccurate and unreliable data. Here are some common fraud methods associated with online survey participation: 🔄 Multiple Responses: Respondents submit multiple survey responses using different email addresses or devices, artificially inflating the response count. 🕵️♂️False Information: Participants provide false or misleading information to meet specific criteria or to skew the survey results intentionally. 👤Socker Accounts: Fraudsters create sock puppet accounts or fake personas to participate in surveys multiple times, pretending to be different individuals. 💸 Survey Farms: Some individuals or organizations create ""survey farms"" where individuals are paid or incentivized to complete surveys in bulk, often using automated scripts or bots. 🎁 Incentive Abuse: Participants exploit survey incentives (such as gift cards or discounts) by providing dishonest responses to qualify for rewards without genuine interest in the survey topic. ✍️ Data Manipulation: Respondents manipulate open-ended questions or qualitative responses to influence the overall sentiment or results of the survey. 🔗 Survey URL Sharing: Participants share survey links with others, leading to non-targeted individuals participating and potentially distorting the sample. 🤖 Automated Scripts (Bots): Automated scripts or bots can be programmed to complete surveys rapidly and repeatedly, leading to a high volume of fraudulent responses.
