This program teaches an important survival skill - how to swim! Way to go Loyola swimming and diving!
Volunteers from Loyola University Maryland Men and Women's Swim Teams have been making a splash in the community for over 10 years! The H2O Hounds Program is a free swim lesson initiative based at our Fitness and Aquatic Center for area youth. Youth are provided free swim gear and swag bags. We're proud to have enrolled 30 youth from Govans Elementary, Walter P. Carter Elementary/Middle schools, and the Dewees and Northwood Recreation Centers. Today marked the end of the season, and we're grateful for the leadership of swimmers Patrick Hayburn and Remi Shaw, as well as the efforts of our Transform Mid-Atlantic AmeriCorps VISTA member Cierra B. and team member Chevera McClean. Thank you for helping make a difference in the lives of our local youth! #communityimpact #youthengagement

Transportation in motion
I had the pleasure of riding WeGo's new route 70 last week with an amazing driver! Meet Lorenzo! It was a wonderful experience learning the new route that serves James Lawson Highschool in Nashville. Lorenzo demonstrated a professional attitude with safety as his core mission as he navigated some tight turns! Got to learn that he's been working with us for the last 2 years and is enjoying his time with WeGo. Looking forward to connecting folks to their community needs!
