Final Project Showcase: DevOps Automation for Django Application Deployment Excited to share the culmination of my journey at National Telecommunication Institute - المعهد القومي للاتصالات Our final project showcases an end-to-end DevOps pipeline designed to automate the deployment process of a Django application on Amazon EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service). Project Overview: - Together with my team, we've developed a comprehensive DevOps solution to streamline the deployment workflow for Django applications. - Our project not only demonstrates our technical prowess but also reflects our commitment to innovation and excellence in telecommunications. Technologies Utilized: 1- Terraform: Leveraged for infrastructure provisioning and management. 2- Ansible: Employed for configuration management and automation. 3- Docker: Utilized for containerizing the Django application and its dependencies. 4- Kubernetes: Implemented for container orchestration and scalability. 5- Jenkins: Orchestrated the CI/CD pipeline for automated build, test, and deployment processes. Key Milestones: 1- Infrastructure Provisioning: Provisioned Amazon EKS cluster, Amazon ECR, and Amazon RDS. 2- Jenkins Setup: Automated installation and configuration using Ansible playbooks. 3- Dockerization: Ensured portability and consistency with Docker containers. Kubernetes Deployment: Defined YAML files for deployment and service configuration. 4- Jenkins Pipeline: Implemented CI/CD pipeline for seamless automation. Project Impact: - Achieved a fully automated CI/CD pipeline, significantly reducing deployment times. - Ensured scalability and reliability through containerization and Kubernetes orchestration. - Enhanced maintainability and reproducibility with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles. Excited to share the codebase with the community! Check out the project repository on GitHub for more details. https://lnkd.in/dJKzrUG5 Grateful for the invaluable learning experience and collaborative effort put into this project.
