“Morning Charms” Retirement blues …that’s what we call is not easy as it looks. It’s a massive shift from a busy life to a sudden halt. And like all big changes, it can be a little tuff initially but we have to face life gracefully. Nothing is permanent… all we need to do is to adapt to the given circumstances as Life is not a hunky Dori. I have been chatting with people who are absolutely loving their retirement. And they’ve shared their secrets with me ! So, sit back, relax and hear what these happy retirees swear by. They have a routine based day. Believe it or not, having a daily routine can make a world of difference during retirement.Instead of waking up with nothing to do, happy retirees have a plan. It could be as simple as a morning walk, reading the newspaper, or enjoying a cup of coffee on the porch. This routine not only gives them something to look forward to each morning but also provides structure to their day. So, consider setting a daily routine for yourself. It could be your first step towards a joyful retirement! They also stay active throughout the day doing something or the other. Staying physically active is a key habit of folks who enjoy their retirement. But don’t worry, we’re not saying you need to run a marathon or bench press your own body weight.Simply doing something you love that keeps you moving works wonders. This could be gardening, yoga, swimming, or even playing with your grandkids. It helps keep your body healthy and your mind sharp. Plus, it’s a great mood booster. They dig out time for hobbies which they could not pursue in their busy life. One thing I’ve found that keeps any one happy in retirement is spending time with their hobbies. It can be playing cards puzzles or painting. Now, its time to get involved .. set aside some time each day to create something, whether it’s a quick sketch or a quick crossword puzzle. It’s incredibly satisfying and brings in lot of happiness and joy.So my advice? Find a hobby you love and find time for it every day. It can really add colour to your retirement. Never stop learning in your life. There is no age to learn. Did you know that continuous learning can help keep your mind sharp? It’s true! Many happy retirees make it a point to learn something new every day. It could be anything from a new recipe to an interesting historical fact or even a new language. Children are the best source of learning and fun. Make them your mentors: they will teach you to be more fun loving and carefree. Just be vigilant active and engaged in one activity to another as it can fend off cognitive decline and help you to stay mentally agile. Reading is the best way to keep busy:why not pick up that book you’ve been meaning to read, or start an online course you’ve been eyeing on from some time. Remember You’re never too old to learn something new! Also share your learning with others as sharing is also caring and vice versa. #inspiration #morningprayer #bedifferent #creative #MorningCharms
