If anybody in the #aisafety circle is thinking of saving the world by convincing #chatgpt to destroy itself, as Kirk does with M5, you are delusional. For clearly: 1- it cannot act (yet)(thank God) - unless some idiot plugs it into something that can (which is pretty likely based on the past year) 2- it cannot evolve (of course, as it requires the GDP of Australia to train, and probably emits as much carbon) 3- does not have a clue what reality, evidence, logic or truth are 4- it is way too stupid to be reasoned with, as anybody who tried it knows well. I've finally managed to get my hands on GPTs. GPTs are advanced AI models designed for specific purposes, such as creating customized chatbots. So, I developed a chatbot named 'Captain Nemo,' inspired by the protagonist of Jules Verne's classic novel '20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.' This bot not only has access to the entire text of the novel but also emulates Captain Nemo's personality to a considerable degree. When I interacted with this AI-driven Captain Nemo and sought his advice for humanity, now standing on the threshold of becoming a multi-planetary species, here's the response I received...
