My week doesn’t start on Monday anymore. Over the holiday break, a neighbour’s simple question sparked an interesting thought: 'When does the week really start?' Like many, I've always viewed Monday as the start. But what if we changed that perspective? Imagine beginning and ending our week with a day of rest, making Sunday the new start. Suddenly, Wednesday isn’t just hump day; it’s a true mid-point, a chance to pause and recalibrate. In my line of work, constantly juggling projects and timelines, this fresh outlook could be a game-changer in managing work-life balance. So, for 2024, I'm embracing this new approach. Perhaps it’s time we all rethink our week to start and end on a positive note. What’s your take on this? Does your week start on Sunday or Monday? #humpday #WednesdayWisdom #NewPerspectives #WorkLifeBalance #2024outlook #mondaymotivation #MidweekMusings #PerspectiveShift

Things that make you go hmmmmm..... When wondering what times, and days of the week are most productive. Monday Morning: Many people consider Monday mornings to be the most productive time of the week. It's the start of a new workweek, and people are often motivated to tackle their tasks and projects with fresh energy and focus. Midweek: Tuesday through Thursday tend to be the most productive days for many businesses. By midweek, people have settled into their work routines and are less likely to be distracted by weekend plans or end-of-week fatigue. Late Morning to Early Afternoon: Research suggests that late morning to early afternoon, typically between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM, is when most people experience peak productivity. This timeframe aligns with the body's natural circadian rhythms and tends to be when energy levels are highest. So I surmise.... if Monday - Thursday- 10:00 am - 2pm is when most people optimize productivity............. Who's with me- 16 hour work week.....all in favor, say AYE! 😀

This quote reminds us that we have the power to set the tone for our week. If we want to have a productive and fulfilling week, we need to plan accordingly and take action. Here are a few tips for creating a great week: Set goals for the week. What do you want to accomplish by the end of the week? Once you know your goals, you can break them down into smaller tasks and start planning how you will achieve them. Prioritize your tasks; Not all tasks are created equal. Some tasks are more important and urgent than others. Prioritize your tasks so that you are focusing on the most important things first. Schedule your time; Once you have prioritized your tasks, schedule them into your calendar. This will help you stay on track and avoid wasting time. Take breaks; It's important to take breaks throughout the week to avoid burnout. Get up and move around, or step outside for some fresh air. Reward yourself; When you accomplish a goal, reward yourself with something you enjoy. This will help you stay motivated and on track. Remember, you have the power to create the week you want. I see alot of people saying you NEED to work at 110% EVERYDAY. I've tried it, and failed miserably. This is what an average week would look like: Monday - 110% Tuesday - 90% Wednesday - 80% Thursday - 70% Friday - 60% Realising that I was burning myself out at the start of the week was a HUGE step for mastering my own productivity. I got overwhelmed with the societal conventions, plastering the toxic image round my head, that I HAD to work at an inhumane work rate to get shit done correctly - BUT this is no way to work... right? Since then, I've found a healthy, happy-medium at working around 80-90% everyday CONSISTENTLY - which has allowed me to feel much more refreshed and persistent with my hours. My typical week now looks like this: Monday - 80% Tuesday - 90% Wednesday - 90% Thursday - 90% Friday - 80% What are your thoughts on this? Are we creating an impractical expectation around performance?
