Capgemini acquires in ER&D services. Design + Industry brings a NelsonHall estimated 80 employees in Australia. D+I was founded in 1987 and provides product engineering services such as mechanical engineering, software development, and electronics product development. It specializes in medical, scientific, and wellness products. A few thoughts: ● The acquisition expands Capgemini's product engineering service to Australia, where the company was little-present. D+I brings a local client base (with 70% of revenues coming from Australia). ● D+I is Capgemini's ER&D acquisition since the Altran transaction. Capgemini has made tuck-in transactions that bring specialized capabilities in AR/VR, semiconductor engineering, and sustainable products ● This specific acquisition strengthens Capgemini Engineering in the medical and high-tech devices, a sector with high-growth potential despite current turbulences in high-tech.

Yesterday, as I prepared for today, which is the last day of my journey at Capgemini Engineering, I am unable not to leave a few words of gratitude. Not only because of all the experiences that were made possible for me, but mainly because of the people who work there that I had the opportunity to meet or simply have sporadic conversations with. I know my last post was also about employee appreciation, but the truth is that it's the people who make the company. Looking back for this past years since I joined the company, You had an incredible impact on my growth and I hope I impacted you in some way and in a good way. And that's what I came to realize, I want to impact people, and I will be progressing towards that objective. Towards a life I really want to live. As Capgemini motto says, "Get The Future You Want", which the mindset is aligned with mine as opposed to my current other objectives. With that said, I'm heading towards an uncertain future, but full of possibilities. With an open mind for my next experience and the direction that my professional path could take. Not because I dislike the work I did at Capgemini Engineering, but because it helped me, testing my competences and thus contributing to the process of discovering who I am and the direction I aspire to follow. I'm slowly shedding fears, hence the brutally honesty, even though I'm already honest. So I guess you will be seeing more of me here. I use this post as a way to compromise with myself. It has been an exciting journey marked by continuous learning, personal growth and an outstanding team spirit. I’d like to inform my dear LinkedIn network that after a decade at Capgemini Engineering I decided to take on a new challenge in another company. I am grateful for 10 amazing years where I was given the #freedom & #trust to challenge the status quo, break new ground and design & launch new programs, event formats and campaigns to foster our brand‘s perception and bring our #corporateculture to life. What was most important for me: it’s all about the #teamspirit. A shared vision and the same understanding of the goals serve as a necessary orientation. But in order to succeed you have to believe in and invest in the power of the team. Stay Ahead with Capgemini Engineering!! Over the past few months, I have been working through the "Stay Ahead" programme at Capgemini. I have picked up countless tips, tricks, tools and skills to become a competent leader and valued peer. I have first hand witnessed the power of presence within meetings and the importance of tone when conveying a message. One key exercise I implore others to incorporate into their continuous career progression is honest non-technical feedback on how you are perceived by individuals you have only just met. You might be surprised by how you are perceived for better or worse. Explore your mannerisms, habits and overall personality during work, as these aspects can be one of your strongest weapons or your greatest downfalls. 

Here it is...and not as some thought - I'm not leaving Capgemini, I am celebrating being here 18 years! Who would have thought I will be here for so long. 🎉 Where were I? oh, while slowly transitioning out of Delivery I ended up for good in global structures with a presales adventure that lasted over two year. This was mainly thanks to Eric Davies, may he rest in peace, who trusted me in rebuilding ESM solutioning capabilities. Later I was part of a team managed by David Becker (see you tonight mate) and now Kelly Roby. Great exposure to so many interesting, often mind blowing (like GenAI) things give a huge development opportunity and is basically interesting :) People I got to meet around presales - Stefan Beukes, John Blaho, Waldemar Adamczewski, Ott Linnamägi, Beata Halama, George Botros, Dorrian Clilverd, Amol Raut, Amit Rane, Vidhi S Batra (thanks for all the help), Simon Walker, Kalpesh Singh Gour, Hugo Gordillo, Kimmo Kettunen, Timo Motejat, Lysanne Vossen, Vipin Srivastava, Marta Zaldivar Brito and so, so many skilled and knowledgeable experts.
