- [Instructor] To create a new drawing or painting open Procreate and you'll land in the gallery view, Tap the plus sign in the upper right-hand corner of your screen. And from the dropdown menu select a standard size or create a custom size. If you choose to create a custom size tap on the black box with the plus icon in the upper right-hand corner of the dropdown menu. From here you can set up your document properties. You can name your file. You can adjust the width and the height. You can change the DPI or dots per inch of your file. And you'll also notice that you can see the maximum number of layers available to you with this file size. You can also control your color profile settings, your time-lapse video settings, and your canvas properties.
