- Here's another little move I do quite often throughout a few tunes that the Dave Matthews Band does and that move is, once again, something that I've seen a few drummers do and I think, well I can't say this person made it famous, but Dennis Chambers, once again, for the young drummers, brought it to every bodies attention, what I call it the Timpani Move, the timpani crossover. (drum rhythm) Not only does the Timpani Move on the top of the drums, on the cymbals, create a splendid visual effect for the people who have mastered it, and I'm not one, but anyway, don't claim to be. I do the move to create a pattern on the cymbals, it's a sound that I'm looking for, in particular, it's a sound that I'm getting from the China Boy and then the first crash and the two cymbals are so different that you can hear the difference in cross sticking when you strike the cymbals, you can hear that there's a major difference in the sounds…
