Title: Sr. UI/UX Designer /Front-End Design Engineer

Location: HOUSTON Tx 77002 || Hybrid (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday IN OFFICE!)

Description

looking for a design-focused front-end developer who can collaborate with its design and engineering teams to remediate design, a11y, and tech debts while also playing a pivotal role in helping shape the vision for the next generation of WM.com for both internal and external users.

• A designer turned developer OR a developer passionate about getting the details right—in the code they write to the pixels on the screen.
• A developer well-versed in modern CSS capabilities widely available across major browsers and also has a constant pulse on the future.
• A developer who gets excited about improving user experience, well-versed in a modern headless tech stack, and takes pride in their work being performant, accessible, and pixel perfect.
• A developer who can contribute to the design process by using their technical acumen to bridge knowledge gaps and help
  
  

Qualifications

The must-haves:

• Knowledge of modern coding standards and best practices, responsive design principles, and accessibility.
• Proficient with Javascript, React, Redux, NextJS, Unit Testing, CSS/SCSS, UI frameworks, NodeJS, REST APIs, and GitHub.
• Experience working with an enterprise CMS.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Can work on a Mac.
  
  

The Nice-to-haves

Familiarity specifically with: Sanity or Contentful, Radix UI, Tailwind CSS, and Vercel.

• It’ll be messy. Part of the job will be figuring things out- auditing what they currently have, so if you just sort of know what you’re doing it won’t work.
