The Candidate shall conduct mass, on select Sundays and on an emergency basis in the absence of the assigned Catholic Chaplain, and as requested by the Installation Chaplain’s Office at Ft
Shall attend planning and coordination meetings and provide necessary actionable input for services as prescribed by the Contracting Officer’s (KO) scheduling
Shall regard personal information on all applicants, volunteers, and participants as confidential
Shall present a neat and clean, well-groomed, and business-like appearance
Shall be on location prior to scheduled services to ensure proper preparation for successful performance at least 30 minutes prior to the services being performed
Weekly Mass. The Candidate shall conduct weekend masses on Saturdays/Sundays
Holy Day Mass. The Candidate shall conduct mass on days of Obligation
Shall administer the Sacrament of Penance services
Shall hold confession at least once each week
Shall prepare subjects for and perform the sacrament of baptisms
Qualifications:
Endorsed by the Archdiocese of Military Services (AMS) preferred
Experience in military chapel programs is preferred
The applicant should have an Effective verbal and written communication skills
The applicant should have Computer skills sufficient to create, maintain, and send reports
Education/Certification:
The Candidate must be a fully ordained Roman Catholic Priest listed in the Official Catholic Directory and be in good standing with the Roman Catholic Church at large.
A 4-year degree from an accredited college or university and either a Master of Divinity or the Master of Arts degree from a theological seminary
