Basic Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities For This Position
ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:
As a software engineer for Mission Readiness business area , you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for the integration, testing, and support of enterprise solutions fileded on U.S. Naval platforms and systems.

While on-site, you will be a part of th e Groton, CT General Dynamics Mission Systems site.
Target salary range: USD $74,050.40/Yr. - USD $82,149.60/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

- Software Versioning Control solutions (i.e., Source Gear Vault, SVN)
- Bash shell, VBScript, JavaScript, Windows Scripting, WBEM, .NET
- VMWare
- Hyper-V
- Docker
- Kubernetes
- Keycloak
- Istio
- Postgresql
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to trouble shoot complex issues
- Basic understanding of software engineering disciplines from requirements development to validation
- Detail-oriented about testing, troubleshooting and documentation
- Strong organizational and analytical skills as well as practical problem-solving and decision skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and be able to manage multiple projects and issues simultaneously
- Basic understanding of software testing principles and defect life cycle
- Experience with the following a plus:
- Navy experience is a plus.
- Amazon Web Services
- Clear understanding of the software engineering concepts, principles, theories, software development process, and agile methodology
- Clear understanding of the software development process, with agile experience
- Ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity
