We are seeking a Revenue Accountant to join our team. As a Revenue Accountant, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including maintaining the revenue module, supporting monthly close, and assisting with year-end audit. You will work closely with the corporate accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Responsibilities
Drive and support revenue accounting process improvements for gathering data, accounting, and reporting
Prepare month-end journal entries, including revenue-based royalty accruals and intercompany recharges
Prepare month-end reconciliations and recommend resolutions for aged items
Support budgets and financial projections for financial statements, from revenues to operating margins and key balance sheet items
Assist with revenue recognition during month-end close, including reviewing contracts and reconciling deferred revenue
Support period-end close processes, including reconciling internal accounts, comparing actual performance to latest financial outlook, preparing revenue and expense accruals, and reviewing accuracy of revenue, gross margin, and expense information
Assist in calculating monthly revenue recognition on professional services projects
Provide customer support to clients and internal teams regarding billing-related inquiries
Provide support for both internal and external quarterly and year-end audit efforts
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field
Proven track record in revenue accounting
Strong business acumen and strategic thinking
Excellent leadership and management skills
Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Experience in the finance and accounting industry is a plus
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office
