Senior PCB Design Engineer


Overview:

We are currently seeking a full-time Senior PCB Design Engineer. This position requires a hybrid schedule, with a minimum of 3 days onsite per week.


Role and Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop complete circuit boards integrating mechanical, electrical, and electronic components.
  • Execute tasks related to electronic hardware development, encompassing various activities such as requirement breakdown, architectural block diagram creation, component selection, detailed circuit design, worst-case analysis, test case development, and formal circuit performance verification.
  • Conduct schematic capture and analysis of electronic circuits.
  • Independently perform PCB layout design or support PCB layout engineers to complete layout.
  • Execute design verification and validations according to defined design inputs and product specifications.
  • Develop requirement specifications for printed wiring assemblies and electronic components.
  • Conduct failure analysis, root cause determination, and corrective action implementation.
  • Write reports, specifications, correspondence, and procedures.
  • Ensure products comply with applicable specifications and regulatory standards.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in electronics hardware design.
  • Comprehensive grasp of electronics hardware design, including familiarity with microprocessors or FPGAs, conventional IO interfaces (Ethernet, USB, I2C, SPI, etc.), and DC power systems.
  • Proficiency in conducting schematic captures and PCB layout.
  • Proficient in one of the leading PCB Design tools.
  • Familiarity with the PCB manufacturing process and Design for Manufacturing.
  • Experience using lab equipment such as digital multimeters, DC Power Supply, oscilloscopes.


Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Circuit simulation skills.
  • Experience with Altium.
  • Experience with RF circuit design and measurement.
  • Familiarity with AMD UltraScale+ MPSoC and/or Microchip Polarfire SoC design.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, data analysis, deductive reasoning, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
