Power Careers LLC is confidentially seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to bring to our clients team. Our client is a very prestigious engineering firm based in the Mid-Atlantic, and are currently experiencing significant growth. Their Engineering Division specializes in conducting forensic investigations in various engineering disciplines. They perform consulting services worldwide and offer expert witness testimony. Supporting this division is a complete Materials Testing and Research facility that performs a variety of metallurgical services, including failure analysis.

In This Position, You Will

  • Perform a wholesome analysis of the workplace, taking various components of a company's electric systems into consideration to determine why the accident occurred
  • Investigates the cause and origin of failures, damages or defects in the electrical fields within industrial, residential, and commercial sites
  • Analyzes the failure of electrical mechanical systems and determines the cause of failures
  • You will also evaluate the quality of manufacture or reviews design and/or maintenance procedures
  • You will prepare accurate, clear, thorough, and concise reports and letters outlining the cause and origin of the damages to clients
  • You will also follow established policies, procedures, and processes in preparing information, exercising sound judgment in applying these to potentially unusual or complicated situations, and submits reports and documents in a timely manner and in accordance with client’s standards and expectations

To qualify for this position, you must have the following background:

  • Minimum of a BSEE with 5+ years of experience
  • Professional Engineer license within electrical or power
  • Experience evaluating root cause analysis for fires, arc flashing, lighting failures, power failures, grounding issues, equipment performance, noise and vibration issues, etc.
  • Experience working in a forensic role or closely related field
  • Ability to travel to customer sites as needed
  • Capable of managing complex projects
