Position Summary

IT Business Analyst SAP SD & EDI should possess strong problem-solving and innovative thinking skill sets. Responsible for supporting day to day IT functions associated with SAP Sale & distribution / EDI and related SAP modules. This position is responsible for gathering and documenting functional requirements and translating functional needs into technical solutions. The candidate will support the IT team in functional expertise to configure, test, support and implement SAP Sale & distribution and EDI solutions.

Position Responsibilities

• Sort out day to day queries of end users in SAP.
• Collaborate with business teams to understand business requirements and then to develop and map solutions in the SAP system.
• Analyze and provide functional support for reports, interfaces, and enhancements. Prepare design documents and detailed specification for Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP).
• Analyze and understand current business processes related to sales and distribution.
• Identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions to optimize workflows within the SAP SD module.
• Configure and customize SAP SD functionalities to meet specific business requirements.
• Develop and maintain master data (customer, material, pricing) within the SAP SD system.
• Troubleshoot user issues related to the SAP SD module.
• Create and maintain reports to monitor sales performance and identify trends.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure successful implementation of SAP SD solutions.
• Stay up to date on the latest SAP SD and EDI Standards/features and functionalities.
• Coordinate with cross functional team members to resolve issues and provide solutions in SAP.
• Designing, developing, and implementing EDI interfaces, analyzing business requirements, and mapping data between SAP and external formats (like X12).
• Troubleshooting and resolving EDI issues, diagnosing errors in data transmission, identify root causes, and implement solutions to keep information flowing.
• Creating and updating maps, data interchange agreements, and profiles of trading partners.
• Work with external parties to set up the technical connection and ensure data exchange adheres to EDI standards.
• Testing and monitoring EDI transactions to ensure data accuracy and monitoring ongoing EDI processes for errors.
• Provide training to new users on SAP transactions & processes.
• Prepare the Business Blueprint Document for implementation of projects.
• Prepare business processes flow and end user training documents of SAP processes for the business team.
• Test scripts/case preparation, user manual preparation, unit, and integration testing
• Responsible for the implementation of current and new localization in USA into SAP.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  
  

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Experience with SAP Business Suit 4 HANA(S/4HANA) is required.
• Previous business/ manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
• Good Understanding of FIORI apps
• Five (5) years of experience with SAP Sale & distribution and EDI
• At least 3 end-to-end implementation projects are required.
• An understanding of accounting business processes is required.
• Must possess excellent knowledge in following areas:
• Experienced in all SD aspects, including defining & assigning Enterprise Structure, Master data, Pre-Sales, Sales Order processing.
• Strong understanding of SAP SD core functionalities, such as order processing, pricing, shipping, and invoicing.
• Experience with EDI standards, SAP (particularly SAP IDocs), and EDI standards (like X12)
• Good knowledge of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) protocols and standards like ANSI ASC X12, EDIFACT, and XML.
• Proficiency in using EDI mapping and translation using SAP PI (Process Integration) / PO (Proxy)
• Familiarity with technologies commonly used in EDI like FTP, SFTP, and AS2 for secure data transfer.
• Strong skills in Excel (able to perform all basic functions such as Pivots, V-lookup, formulas) are required.
• Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills are required.
• The ability to be adaptable, capable, self-motivated, and confident is required.
