, Job Description

We are seeking a Program Manager for a 6-month contract with the option to hire. This role can work remotely from anywhere in the U.S. and will be supporting a majortelecom network transformation from copper to fiber.

The duties of this role are as follows:

  • ProgramLeadership: Lead and oversee multiple network technology projects from start to finish, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Strategic Planning: Lead and oversee multiple network technology projects from start to finish, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Project Management: Oversee all project management phases, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure, to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Stakeholder Management: Oversee all project management phases, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure, to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Budget Management: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as engineering teams, vendors, and customers, to ensure project alignment and successful delivery.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with network technology initiatives. Develop contingency plans to address potential issues.
  • Performance Tracking: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track project progress and performance, and provide regular updates and reports to senior management.
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership, guidance, and support to project teams. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture.

, Qualifications

  • Telecommunications or Service Providers environment experience, preferrably managing programs where a telecom network transformation
  • Bachelor’s degree or at least 10 years of related EPMO experience, with heavy emphasis on implementing and leading portfolio management and governance. including at least 5 years’managerial experience.
  • Leadership: Significant experience in an EPMO leadership role; ability to engage with C-level and senior leadership to represent the EPMO and defend governance practices to maintain alignment with the company’s objectives and priorities.
  • Programand Project Governance: Deep subject matter expertise in managing a complex portfolio encompassing both formalizedprograms, projects, and out-of-cycle requests.
  • Data Analysis/Interpretation: Ability to convert general data and findings into applied, specific information and suggestions that add value to business planning andprogramevaluation.
  • Programand Project Management: Ability to manage projects to ensure successful delivery (on time, within budget, meeting agreed upon success criteria) to establish clear goals and accountabilities. Also includes the ability to develop project plans, allocate resources, identify potential issues/risks and develop contingency plans.
  • Key Performance Measures: Significant experience in developing comprehensive performance measures and metrics by which to assessprogramand project performance, looking at the company’s objectives and strategies, cost/spend data, quality, schedule, resources, return on investment, and other measurement variables. Leads performance review engagements.
  • ProgramLifecycle Disciplines: Strong knowledge of the integrated systems lifecycle development utilizing different - and sometimes - multiple development models (e.g., agile, waterfall, hybrid, etc.)
  • PMP desired

Additional Information

This 6-month contract -to-hire role can work remotely from anywhere in the U.S. and will pay between $75-$95 per hour W2 depending on experience.
