Property Controller - $150k + Bonus

Our client, an established real estate investment firm, is seeking a Property Controller to join their New York City financial team. The right candidate will be responsible for the accounting and financial activities of company properties. This is a hybrid position, located in New York City.

Salary: up to $150,000 + Bonus

Workplace Policy: Hybrid, New York City location

Responsibilities:

• Assist in management of accounting and finance department, financial reporting and general accounting
• Manage all aspects of accounting operations including timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, and general ledger
• Consolidate quarterly/monthly work papers and balance sheet account analysis
• Review monthly revenue and expenses for each property, review monthly property reports
• Prepare annual reports including operating budget, property expense reports,
• Prepare financial packages and review GAAP reporting for the firm's real estate investments
• Oversee all investor relations, including fees, distributions and contributions calculations
• Collaborate with internal and outside auditors, finance teams, heads of departments in effort to improve process

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 3+ years of accounting experience
• CPA preferred
• Real Estate or Property Management experience preferred
• Proficient in Excel
