What You'll Do

As a Program Manager at Nerdery, you will:

  • Lead and Deliver: Oversee and drive delivery work for our clients through effective management of large projects, ensuring quality and timely outcomes.
  • Collaborate and Communicate: Work closely with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders to create and execute delivery plans that address business requirements.
  • Optimize and Solve: Identify and solve technical issues, manage internal processes, and maintain delivery financials to ensure profitability and client satisfaction.
  • Advise and Influence: Build strong relationships with client stakeholders, share insights to influence capability development, and support strategic account managers.
  • Mentor and Grow: Coach and mentor direct reports, oversee new employee onboarding, and provide career development opportunities.


Responsibilities

  • Manage delivery plans and outcomes for client projects.
  • Oversee scope and quality of deliverables directly or through project managers.
  • Estimate and define delivery approaches for large programs, including resource planning.
  • Proactively solve technical issues and provide program management support.
  • Manage internal processes using tools like OpenAir, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Handle delivery financials, ensuring service time, margin, and profitability.
  • Develop an understanding of Nerdery's capabilities and services.
  • Share client insights with practice leaders to shape capability refinement.
  • Support account managers in shaping engagements and delivery strategies.
  • Coach and mentor direct reports, providing performance management and career development.


Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in program/project management.
  • 2+ years of experience in consulting, agency, or client-based environments.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to motivate a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on operational and financial excellence.
  • Understanding of digital technologies and user experience methodologies.
  • Experience managing multiple parallel projects with diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with high-level client business processes and goals.
