Process Engineering Manager (Plastic Injection Molding)

An industry leading manufacturing organization is actively looking for a Process Engineering Manager with a background in plastic injection molding. This person will be based at their flagship production facility in NW Alabama. This role will strategically lead a team of Process Engineers focused on the operational performance improvement. This is a full time, direct-hire opportunity.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day and long-term direction and development of departmental engineering personnel.
• Prioritize employee safety and adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
• Identify opportunities and develop solutions/strategies for Lean and Continuous Improvement implementation.
• Drive departmental OEE and scrap improvements.
• Support new program launch activities.
• Train, evaluate, and mentor engineering personnel.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline (or similar) required.
• 8+ years of progressive engineering experience within high-volume manufacturing environment(s).
• 4+ years of management/leadership experience.
• Prior process experience with plastic injection molding
• Strong Lean/Continuous Improvement skills.
