Job Summary

The President is responsible for the leadership, strategy, execution, financial performance, compliance, and safe daily operations of the company. The President designs and executes strategies and plans to meet both short and long-term operational requirements, always staying in alignment with the vision and values of the organization. They provide coaching and mentorship to other executives, directors, managers, and others in the organization. They have responsibility to foster and manage relationships with key business partners (both internal and external) to meet high levels of customer service. Success in this role requires the ability to implement industry best practices, maintain a culture of safety, drive efficiency, seek continuous improvement, and achieve cost reductions. The President plays a leading role in establishing and executing the strategic vision for the next phase of growth.



Education and Experience Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, construction management, business management, finance, or other relevant area of focus; strong preference for construction management certification or MBA
  • In lieu of college degree, a certified journeyman wireman with strong field supervision and project management experience will be considered
  • 15+ years of executive level leadership and management experience in construction management and/or business management with a track record of successful leadership
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, McCormick (or similar estimating software), Procore, BuildOps or other project management software programs



Skills and Abilities

This role requires hands-on experience managing businesses with revenue of $100M+, including P&L management and WIP reporting experience. Additional required skills include:

  • Demonstrated success in operations, encompassing all areas of a company
  • Track-record of leading electrical/construction/manufacturing businesses and operations through best practices

Duties and Responsibilities

The President is responsible for providing leadership to the organization and for ensuring the company’s purpose, vision, mission, and values are met. Duties include:


  • Guiding and leading managers
  • Overseeing the execution of the Business Plan and Company Strategy
  • Reporting feedback and providing recommendations to the executive team
  • Ensuring that the company is in line with the established budgets and finances
  • Analyzing budgets and spending to find trends
  • Completing risk assessment on potential future programs and projects
  • Work with Human Resources to implement and refine company policies and procedures
  • Monitor the hiring and firing all managers and employees of the company
  • Leading, guiding, directing, and evaluating all managers and employees reporting to the President
  • Meeting with department heads for progress and budget reports
  • Planning professional development classes for employees
  • Overseeing the issues in marketing, financial growth, development, sales, research, or personnel as needed
  • Identifying, training, and developing leaders within the company and setting them on a path for management
  • Representing the company for external and internal events
  • Maintaining the operational integrity of the business with a commitment to cultivating an environment of open communication to support expedited resolution of issues and challenges
  • Challenging the current business processes and direct managers to eliminate waste by reducing non- value-added activities, with an eye towards continuous improvement
  • Inspiring a culture that addresses problems by identifying root cause and taking corrective action to get quality right the first time
  • Establishing accountability in all facets of the operation, through creating, achieving, and maintaining key performance indicators and standard operating procedures, and managing the business to meet these measures
  • Fostering the team to be Customer Centric by creating a safe and respectful work environment, with a focus on doing the fundamentals well, and establishing trust with our vendors, customers, and clients.
  • Representing the company locally to all government agencies and ensuring compliance with all Federal, State, and Local regulations and supporting the team to be industry leaders in operational and regulatory compliance through constant learning and training
  • Remaining current on industry best practices and new industry regulations, and ensuring direct reports are also current on these best practices
  • Implementing and managing succession plans for each business unit
  • Developing and delivering reports to the Board of Managers, Executive Leadership Team, and the CEO on a quarterly basis, and upon request.
  • Strong communication, coordination and collaboration with other executives and leaders
  • Developing and monitoring KPI’s to identify the challenges and the opportunities
  • Keeping the CEO informed of what is going on in the company, timely reporting to the CEO, and involve the CEO in major decision prior to the implementation.




Compensation Package

  • Base Salary Range: $280,000+-$450,000 per year
