Position Objective:

The Pharmacy Analyst is an analytical role and is responsible for analyzing pharmaceutical data, improving pharmacy processes, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The incumbent will report to the Manager of Pharmacy Services (or similar role) and will be responsible for having a strong understanding of pharmacy operations, data analysis, and healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze pharmaceutical data to identify trends, forecast needs, and provide insights for decision-making
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to optimize pharmacy operations and patient care
  • Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical regulations and guidelines
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve pharmacy processes and performance
  • Prepare and present reports on pharmaceutical data and pharmacy operations
  • Assist in the evaluation and implementation of new pharmacy technologies and systems
  • Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities
  • Provide training and support to pharmacy staff on data analysis and reporting tools
  • Work with cross-functional teams to integrate pharmacy data with other healthcare data
  • Additional duties as assigned

Position Requirements/ Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Health Informatics, Data Science, or related field
  • 3 years of experience in a pharmacy setting with a focus on data analysis
  • Excellent understanding of pharmaceutical data, pharmacy operations, and healthcare regulations
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in an expedient and decisive manner
  • Proficient with Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for real-time collaboration

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time
  • Communicating with others to exchange information
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrist, hands, and/or fingers
  • Assessing the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned
  • Must be able to lift at least 15lbs at times
