Painter

Nashville General Hospital is hiring for a Painter as a full time job in Nashville, Tennessee.

Location: Nashville General Hospital - Primary Hospital

Shift: Day Shift

This position is primarily responsible for performing painting and finishing duties necessary to maintain hospital buildings and furnishings in an attractive and functional condition; may perform related work as required.

Painter Roles & Responsibilities:

Adheres to established safety procedures

• Uses tools and equipment properly.
• Stores/locks tools/equipment properly while on break or at mealtime.
• Practices current departmental and hospital safety policy and procedures.
• Wears required safety attire.
• Demonstrates knowledge of building safety codes
  
  

Ensures repair or replacement equipment

• Makes repairs as able; seeks guidance from supervisor as necessary
• Notifies supervisor of parts or equipment and supplies
• Cleans tools upon completion of task and returns to designated storage location
  
  

Installs and maintains equipment

• Properly patches and paints repairs.
• Ensures project is completed to specifications, including building walls, etc
• Install negative air when doing project
  
  

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 2 years' experience in commercial Painting.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must possess a working knowledge of various types of tools and paint methods used in performing skilled painting and finishing work.
• Must possess the ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
