JOB PURPOSE

The Manager of Events & Client Engagement will spearhead the strategy, planning, and execution of all retail events and client engagement activities aimed at developing top-tier and mid-tier clients across the Americas. All strategies will focus on driving client retention, accelerating top-tier and mid-tier client growth and average spend, and also facilitate the acquisition of new clients through targeted engagement programs. The role will require close partnership with the VP Communications & Marketing and HQ partners in NY and Milan, as well as with retail leadership to ensure a seamless and elevated brand experience and flawless execution in market.


TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

OVERVIEW

  • Responsible for developing the Americas event strategy, in partnership with VP and corporate/retail partners
  • Plan and execute events with precision all client activations in market; primary focus will be on retail activations, with focused activations as required to support key wholesale partners
  • Develop client activation strategies focused on driving retention of top-tier and mid-tier clients; create comprehensive proposals to present to the global office and gather feedback.
  • Develop and execute client gifting programs, with a timely focus on key periods (Holiday, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Valentine’s Day, and others) in order to drive client loyalty and sales ROI; partner with HQ to ensure local needs are developed proactively to drive the business
  • Develop and maintain brand partnerships and charities for events and activities that enhance brand equity and drive ROI
  • Measure conversion and sales uplift from all initiatives and activations in partnership with CRM; provide timely ROI analysis to optimize each initiative to ensure delivery of relevant KPI’s
  • Responsible for tracking and developing top clients in partnership with Head of Retail, field leadership, and global HQ teams
  • Identify, cultivate, and implement immersive personalized brand experiences customized for top-tier clients
  • Effectively manage event and gifting budgets as well as all related invoicing to ensure budgets are respected
  • Travel as required domestically and internationally to support events, as directed


CLIENT EVENTS

  • Develop and oversee regional calendar of client engagement events and associated budgets, collaborating with the VP Marketing and Communications and Global Events Director
  • Collaborate with global team to manage printing and delivery of invitations, client gifts, catering, champagne, flowers, and other related items
  • Partner with retail/wholesale teams to develop and propose targeted client lists for each activation and to propose impactful event proposals, partnerships, and initiatives
  • Supervise entire event production process and timelines by managing vendor arrangements, provide operational assistance to stores, and oversee event execution, ensuring comprehensive written and visual documentation.
  • Develop action plans as required, solicit feedback, and share weekly updates on progress and outcomes
  • Execute client activations during runway shows as required for top VICs (inclusive arrangement of travel, scheduling, and collaboration with concierge services)


SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of luxury retail event experience, previous retail clienteling experience preferred
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to establish strong relationships at all levels with supervisor, colleagues, executives, industry partners/vendors, and clients
  • Exceptional presentation skills and the ability to respond to questions in a clear and concise manner, including to company executives
  • Adept at thriving in a rapidly changing and dynamic work setting.
  • If required, ability to work flexible schedule based on business and event needs, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Understanding, knowledge and interest in fashion, philanthropy, and culture
  • Collaborative team player who enjoys working in a cross-functional team environment
  • Expertise in other Microsoft Office programs, especially PowerPoint
  • Strong understanding of financials, retail math and the ability to manage budgets
  • Ability to travel frequently (including international)
