Your role We’re looking for an M&A and Advisory Transactions lawyer to:
partner with the investment bank and external counsel to provide holistic support on standard and non-standard advisory transactions in the U.S., Canada and Latin America, and including cross-border transactions involving other global regions
act as a subject matter expert for all legal and regulatory matters for or related to M&A and advisory transactions
collaborate with the wider Group Legal and Investment Banking teams to educate on new regulatory initiatives, market trends, conflicts, significant cases and changes in law
monitor legal and regulatory developments for the Investment Banking business
work closely with other firm functions including Compliance, Conflicts, the Global Banking Operating Office and Risk
Your team You will be working in the Global Banking Legal team in either the New York or Nashville office. . You will play a vital role in supporting the negotiation and documentation of engagement letters, fee letters, fairness opinions and other transactional documents. As an experienced M&A and Advisory Transactions lawyer, you will be a trusted advisor to the Investment Bank by delivering best-in-class legal advice on transactions to effectively manage our legal risk.
Your expertise
JD degree with current Bar Admission in New York or Tennessee
5-8 years experience working in law firm or as in-house counsel
excellent product knowledge across M&A and advisory transactions
ability to work as a team player across products and divisions
proven talent negotiating complex documents; prior experience providing advice to investment banks a plus
exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to challenge stakeholders at all levels

Salary Information CA, CO, WA and NY based roles: The salary range for this role is $200,000 to $240,000 based on experience, education, and skill level. This role may be eligible for discretionary incentive compensation. For benefits information: ubs.com/usbenefits.
