Note Employer will not sponsor visas for position Job Summary This individual is responsible for directing the strategic planning, marketing program development, business to business communications, research initiatives, budgets, and special projects for the Brand Programs department for Light Oils Marketing. This individual is responsible for interacting with all departments within Brand Equity, other internal service providers, and external suppliers to ensure optimal program development and consistent communications. Minimum Qualifications Degree:
  • Bachelor's Degree. Required. The minimun number of years of job related experience required by this job is:
  • 10+ years of relevant experience. List any specialized training or unique skills required:
  • Must have wide breadth of knowledge in all aspects of marketing program development and communications in fuels industry.
  • Experience in c-store industry preferred.
  • Must be able to handle multiple and conflicting priorities on a daily basis.
  • Exemplary customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Microsoft Office software knowledge required with emphasis on Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
  • A valid driver's license is required. Job Duties Direct the development of best-in-class marketing programs, image enhancement and service offerings through industry best providers, market intelligence and other information sources. Direct the selection of vendors and strategic partners and oversee contract negotiations to ensure optimal terms for CITGO and its marketers. Direct the development and maintenance of Light Oils business to business communication strategy including print materials, Street Smarts, CITGO Now, CITGO MarketNet, the CITGO Retailing Institute and training materials. Work with internal and external providers to ensure optimal utilization of their services. Direct the strategic planning for the Brand Programs group through the creation of marketing plans for programs and services that support the CITGO brand strategy. Ensure strategic alignment between new program development, advertising, program sales, brand operations, marketing promotions and CITGO's brand position. Plan and direct the work of department personnel. Facilitate interaction with other work groups and internal clients through the establishment of goals and objectives and corresponding performance criteria. Manage operating budgets and perform department-related administration to ensure optimal unit performance. Direct and manage a personnel development program for department members to ensure that we have high quality individuals with the skills required to take CITGO to the next level. Direct the research and development of a knowledge base of consumer trends for retail products, equipment and service offerings and dissemination of competitive industry information, policies, and programs to enable CITGO to develop programs/services to enhance brand value. Direct Brand Programs special projects as required including presentations, reporting requirements, ad hoc analysis, and other related projects.
