Overview

This role sits within the Strategic Remediation Control Office, specifically in our Legal Change team, which is responsible for a large and varied, global book of work, covering technology, regulatory, audit and business-driven change, which includes various initiatives of strategic importance to the organization. The Legal department covers the Legal, Group Governance, Corporate Secretariat and Supervisory Board functions in the Bank. You’ll be working across a range of projects to find and create value, improve efficiency, introduce, and embed new technologies, enhance processes, and drive digitization - transforming the way that department works.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage the Change portfolio for the Group Governance function as part of the Legal department, reporting to the Head of Legal Change
  • Manage the Change the Bank and Business as Usual projects, producing and maintaining up-to-date project management artefacts and providing frequent and accurate status updates to senior management and the Legal Executive Committee
  • Liaise with stakeholders and subject matter experts, to translate their needs into business requirements for the engineering teams
  • Work closely with the Business and technology teams to see the Business requirements through to delivery. In addition, you will manage and support the end-to-end change process, including impact assessments, process change, user acceptance tests, user adoption & training, updates to relevant policies & procedure documents, etc
  • Find creative ways to foster collaboration in a global and remote working environment


How You’ll Lead

  • Mentoring and coaching junior members of the team
  • Act as a key interface between stakeholders across the Legal department, the Chief Operating Officer team and TDI/Chief Information Officer and positively influence diverse stakeholders without direct authority
  • Managing upward communications to effectively escalate and inform decision-making


Skills You’ll Need

  • Graduate with experience in a Business Change function, with extensive experience as a Project Manager. Business Analysis experience and qualifications are highly desirable too. Please note that this is not a technology role, so IT business analysis experience will be of limited value
  • Experience in the Group Governance and/or Legal domain, including business and technology processes and projects is desired
  • Experience with Product Management processes & techniques, for example product vision & strategy, roadmaps, reporting and user testing; and experience with Project Management processes & techniques for example status updates, milestone plans, RAID, RACI, etc.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment; must be a team player, able to work in a global, collaborative environment; and be a self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimum direction and supervision

Expectations

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the NYC office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is 125,000 to 203,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
