Job Title: Junior Tester

Location: Albany, NY (Hybrid)

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Execute manual and automated test cases for various software applications.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools.
  • Collaborate with the development team to reproduce issues and provide detailed feedback.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Perform regression testing to ensure that new code changes do not adversely affect existing functionalities.
  • Participate in test case reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Communicate test results and findings to the QA Lead and development team.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and testing methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with manual testing techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit).
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
  • Basic programming knowledge or experience.
  • Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB).
