Job Summary

The Junior Back End Developer will play a crucial role in our engineering team, focusing on the creation, maintenance, and optimization of server-side applications. This role is ideal for emerging professionals with a solid foundational skill set in programming and a passion for learning and growth within the tech industry.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and maintenance of robust APIs that connect with various databases and other technology services.
• Collaborate with front-end developers and other team members to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive codes to enhance user experience.
• Implement code fixes and enhancements to improve system performance and stability.
• Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing mainly on coding, debugging, and testing.
• Help in the design and creation of scalable software.
• Write clean code to develop functional web applications.
• Manage cutting-edge technologies to improve legacy applications.
• Gather and address technical and design requirements.
• Provide training and support to internal teams.
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Up to 2 years of experience as a Back End Developer.
• Familiarity with the entire web development process (design, development, and deployment).
• Hands-on experience with programming languages like Java, Ruby, PHP, Python, or .NET.
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Excellent analytical and time management skills.
• Strong teamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  
  

Required Skills

• Proficiency in server-side languages such as Python, Ruby, Java, or .NET
• Understanding of databases and SQL
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Familiarity with development frameworks and third-party libraries
• Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems and environments
• Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
• Management of hosting environment, including database administration and scaling applications
• Data migration, transformation, and scripting
• Setup and administration of backups
