IT HELP DESK INTERN - SUMMER
Due to continued growth, we currently have a new opening for an IT Intern at our Headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI. This ideal candidate will be early on in their college career and have an aptitude for technology and end-user support.
We fully support and encourage students to apply, however tailoring school schedules to accommodate traditional work hours affords us the opportunity to maximize mentorship and real-world training experiences.
This is a seasonal, summer time position offering tremendous opportunities to further your college career, and future growth and advancement.

Primary Job Responsibilities
- Desktop Troubleshooting and End-User Support requests
- Document, implement, monitor, and support infrastructure and end-user issues
- Work through IT requests via phone, email or instant message and explaining and deploying solutions in technical and nontechnical terms
- Assist in responding to alerts or emergency issues during normal business hours
- Provide or help create end-user documentation and training as needed
- Perform computer back-up procedures for data in accordance with backup policies
- Provide preventive maintenance of all computer hardware and software, coordinating with external vendors
- Coordinate with Corporate IT team on a regular basis for support resolution and project-based work
- Assist with new facility launches, upgrades and support
- Complete daily IT checklists as required as part of preventative and proactive monitoring

- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently
- Candidates must have stable and reliable WIFI
- Working towards a degree from an accredited College or University in Computer Science or related field
- Previous experience in Information Technology or related field a plus
- Ability to install and support Microsoft Office and other desktop software products
- Experience with mobile devices running Android or iOS and their administration
- Computer Hardware troubleshooting including printers, desktops, laptops, and other peripherals
- Must be detail oriented and have excellent problem solving and analytical abilities
- VMware vSphere and/or vCenter Experience a plus
- Experience with Office and Microsoft 365 a plus
- Laptop and desktop images
