Our client is a 8 billion aum hedge fund with a mission to give back to society. The right candidate would have a heavy hand in recruiting, compensation, and performance.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Our client seeks to recruit a Human Resources Manager. Based in New York City, the successful candidate will be the Human Resources leader at the firm and will establish all processes and procedures related to organizational strategy and development, human capital / talent management, employee relations, employment law, recruitment, retention, benefits, facilities and compensation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

HR Policies, Procedures, and Compliance

• Development and administration of policies and procedures to ensure smooth business functioning and compliance with applicable regulations
• Anticipate issues and solve problems using a strong knowledge of employment law
• Assist the General Counsel with the employee handbook for the organization
• Create and maintain an orientation program; communicate policies to the staff

Employee Relations

• Coach managers and members of senior management on a variety of issues involving performance, morale, retention, and general employee management

Talent Acquisition and Training & Development

• Responsible for recruitment and coordination across the firm
• Build a best practices approach to talent acquisition and ensure that all department staffing requirements are met in an effective and timely manner.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

• Approximately 4-7 years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist role at an alternative investments firm
• Direct experience in the HR areas listed above
