HR/Payroll Representative

IPS – Swift is seeking an HR/Payroll Representative to join our team in Bloomfield, CT. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department, maintaining employee records, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, and assisting with various HR-related tasks.

Job Responsibilities

• Provides day-to-day administrative support to the Human Resources department
• Assist in processing biweekly payroll for employees using the ADP payroll system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Carefully handles sensitive and confidential information/situations and documentation
• Maintain accurate employee records, including changes in salary, benefits, tax withholding, personal information, and work status.
• Assist with the administration of employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other deductions.
• Prepare reports related to payroll, benefits, and HR metrics for leadership as needed
• Support HR initiatives such as employee engagement activities, performance management, and training programs.
• Supports safety initiatives
• Creates new requisitions in applicant tracking system
• Coordinates and administers new hire orientation/onboarding to termination meetings (supports employment life cycle)
  
  

Job Qualifications

Education: HS Diploma or equivalent required, associate’s degree or higher in related field preferred

Years Experience: 2-3+ years’ experience in Human Resources, with a focus on payroll administration using ADP Workforce Now

Skills

• Possesses knowledge and experience in human resources processes and the ability to coordinate activities for a team
• Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize with changing situations
• Strong understanding of payroll principles, practices, and regulations.
• Proven experience as an HR/Payroll Administrator with expertise in HRIS Systems and payroll software using ADP Workforce Now
• Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel
• Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and with integrity
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
