ABOUT THE ROLE
ADWEEK is seeking a graphic designer and creative thinker who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. The Graphic Designer will play an integral role in the application of the ADWEEK brand identity across properties, event micro-sites, multi-channel marketing campaigns, and live event experiences, ensuring consistency throughout. As Graphic Designer, you will lead creative for assigned programs—from ideation through execution–driving the visual identity and partnering with marketing to deliver engaging, cohesive multi-channel campaigns that deliver on objectives. The Graphic Designer reports to the Art Director and sits within the creative team in the marketing department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Partner with Marketing and internal stakeholders to understand program objectives, target audience and messaging requirements.
Serve as creative lead for assigned programs: conceptualize, present and execute innovative design solutions across channels that align with brand guidelines and program objectives.
Develop exceptional design across channels and formats, including digital advertising, social media, email marketing, mobile strategy, video and motion graphics animation, web design, and print.
Drive innovation by pitching, identifying emerging technologies and approaches to expand or improve our design offerings, and developing creative add-on services.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, from conception to final delivery, ensuring quality and accuracy.
Harness data and analytics to drive decision making.
Mentor junior designers and provide guidance on design best practices and industry trends.
Maintain assets within our digital asset management system.
Serve as a critical reviewer of campaign creative, providing constructive feedback, ensuring consistency and compelling creative across channels.
WHAT WILL SET YOU APART
3+ years of professional experience, preferably in a fast-paced media or advertising environment
Experience working in a digital-first creative environment preferred
Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
Proficient in After Effects, Figma and Animation
Demonstrate strong typography skills
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
Comfortable working in a deadline-driven and fast-paced environment
Ability to prioritize and adapt to shifting needs
Desire to learn, have a positive, adaptable, and collaborative attitude
Knowledge of video editing (Adobe Premiere Pro/Rush) preferred, but not required
Knowledge of HTML/CSS preferred
Understanding of the dynamics of the advertising, marketing and media industry
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
Location: ADWEEK is based in Midtown Manhattan. The position will require you to work in a hybrid capacity.
Salary: up to $70,000
The salary range provided reflects the Company’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. The final compensation offered will be determined by various factors such as the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, and location. ADWEEK is headquartered in New York City, and the salary specified is tailored for candidates residing within the New York tri-state area.
