The Opportunity:
As the first Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and building core technologies and product experiences, shaping the company's technical direction.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop features and products from end-to-end, balancing iteration and scalability.
Partner closely with the CTO to address pressing technical challenges.
Maintain high technical standards while making informed trade-offs.
Identify opportunities to enhance technology for greater customer and business value.
Improve team performance through code reviews, pairing, and mentorship.
Requirements:
7+ years of software development experience with expertise in Ruby on Rails, React.js, SQL, or similar frameworks and technologies.
Proficiency in cloud technologies (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform) and system scalability.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex challenges.
Commitment to continuous learning and applying new knowledge.
Preferences:
Experience with NLP technologies, large language models, vector embeddings, and traditional search engines (e.g., ElasticSearch or Solr).
Background in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines for data processing and analytics.
