Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

Mawson is hiring an FP&A Manager to provide financial planning and budgeting analyses, develop financial best practices and track Key Performance Indicators (KPI)s. In this highly visible role, you will guide meaningful decisions and have direct exposure to senior management across Mawson while driving the implementation of the company’s key financial priorities. The role will be fully Remote, USA and may require work outside of normal business hours including weekends as needed.


As an FP&A Manager, you will be expected to implement and manage key financial processes, and focus on P&L performance reporting, and historical and future looking financial modelling & analysis. This role will report to the Director of Finance and be responsible for creating nimble and adaptable finance frameworks and programs for the Company’s business model, including operating model management, budgeting, finance infrastructure improvements, and finance team building.


What will you own?


  • Tracking and preparation of Monthly P&L Business Review, BoD and other senior management presentations.
  • Development and implementation of fiscal policy and internal control procedures.
  • Monitor and track the organization’s operating cash flow and liquidity metrics.
  • Provide analysis of monthly financial & operational results including the interpretation of current month’s results
  • Develop and lead the annual budgeting processes.
  • Evaluate and help drive strategic pricing initiatives.
  • Ensure that adequate financial controls are in place and adjust as necessary.
  • Assist with leadership and goal development tracking of the greater finance teams.
  • Oversee financial systems process execution via NetSuite & ADP.
  • Model and evaluate potential business partnerships, P&L forecasting and other potential opportunities and constraints.
  • Assist with company financial goal setting and strategy.
  • Assist in ensuring corporate compliance with statuary reporting and filings.
  • Collaborate with leadership in establishing top-tier standard operating procedures (SOPs) for handling new data streams, filers, reporting regimes, and compliance procedures.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses to gain deeper insights into our business and help management scale, manage, and grow the business predictably and profitably.


What you have:


  • At least 3 years of experience in a publicly listed SMB company.
  • At least 3 years of experience in investment banking role or audit firm.
  • Experience with cryptocurrency mining operations or related preferred.
  • Experience with reimbursement, general ledger, payroll, internal audit, budgeting, revenue cycle, financial analysis, audit contracting, information systems, debt financing, and materials management required.
  • Exceptional judgment and maturity, including an ability to execute independently and work with team members of all levels.
  • Experience in a fast-paced virtual and in-person environment is essential; attention to detail is critical.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Solid technical systems skills. Must be familiar with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Calendar Management & Teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High level of intellectual curiosity, focus on generating results and having impact, deep interest in problem solving.
  • Ability to manage up and down to convey expectations and inquires effectively.
