Reports To: Priest in solidum or designated representative
Summary:
Supports the priest in solidum, Family of Parishes Moderator and parish in strengthening the connection between family life and evangelization and Christian service; facilitates existing and new parish programs and events as opportunities for families to encounter Jesus anew and grow as his disciples; promotes and supports vocations. Schedule and coordinate infant baptisms, support marriage and worship ministries. Schedule visiting priests and maintain records of Mass Intentions
Qualifications:
Minimum of three to five years of office experience and event planning
Commitment to Unleash the Gospel and Families of Parishes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office – Word (minimum of 40 wpm), Publisher, PowerPoint, Excel, and the ability to learn and master additional software applications
Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively and efficiently, adapt to change in routine and multi-task
Willingness to work independently and collaboratively
Ability to honor and maintain confidentiality
Specific Responsibilities:
Including but not limited to:
Respond to caller and visitor needs or refer to other staff as required
Collaborate with staff on promotion of all parish programs and events
Maintain inventory of office and worship supplies including but not limited to books, stationery, devotionals, etc.
Maintain Sacramental records for baptisms, marriages, and deaths
Support priest in solidum and other staff as needed
In conjunction with other staff, facilitate miscellaneous evangelization and outreach projects
Join all staff members in fostering a sense of community within the staff and parish where all feel welcome and valued members of parish and Church
