Events Manager

TurnPoint Search is partnering with a growing asset manager firm to hire an Events Manager. This position will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the strategic vision of the firm's global employee engagement events, managing a diverse range of responsibilities to ensure seamless execution. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Designing, planning, and executing employee engagement events, including but not limited to team-building activities, company-wide celebrations, recognition ceremonies, wellness programs, and social events.
  • Coordinating logistics such as venue selection, catering, transportation, and accommodation, ensuring all events are executed seamlessly.
  • Developing and managing event budgets and tracking expenses.
  • Collaborating with HR and senior leadership to develop and implement an employee engagement strategy aligned with the company’s goals and values.
  • Conducting surveys and gathering feedback to assess the effectiveness of engagement initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
  • Creating and maintaining a calendar of engagement activities, ensuring a diverse range of events that cater to different interests and preferences.
  • Developing and distributing promotional materials to generate excitement and encourage participation.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with external vendors, including event planners, venues, caterers, and entertainment providers.
  • Negotiating contracts and managing vendor agreements to ensure high-quality services.
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders, including department heads and team leaders, to understand their needs and incorporate them into event planning.
  • Tracking and analyzing the success of events through metrics such as attendance, employee feedback, and engagement levels.
  • Preparing and presenting regular reports to senior management on the impact of engagement activities and suggesting improvements.


Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience planning events, ideally within financial services or tech.
  • BA required.
  • Demonstrated experience managing events of varying scales, encompassing both in-person and virtual formats.
  • Experience utilizing event management tools and video conferencing platforms is required.
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite or AutoCAD is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining meticulous attention to detail, coupled with strong organizational and relationship-building skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.


Position pays a base salary range of $100,000 - $200,000 per year, commensurate with experience and skill level. There is also the potential for a guaranteed bonus.
