Events & Catering Sales Manager serving Live! Casino and Hotel Louisiana is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. Events & Catering Sales Manager will develop a Sales plan that maximizes revenue by driving the sales of Food and Beverage in catering events, restaurants and bar venues within the Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana. As Events & Catering Sales Manager, you will work with the Sales and Food and Beverage Departments to maximize revenue opportunities through the sales of Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana! for food, beverage and service.

Responsibilities

Where You'll Make an Impact:

  • Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana departmental policies and procedures.
  • Consistently deliver positive, courteous and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors and fellow employees.
  • Develop and maintain an account base, as designated by Sales Leadership, to achieve revenue goals through proactive sales, prompt response to all inquiries and correspondence from clients, prospects and lead referrals and follow up on assigned sales leads
  • Be responsible for and implement a sales action plan for the development of catering only events which includes Prospecting calls, outside sales calls, performing site tours, related sales trips, trade show participation, networking opportunities and entertainment.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports of sales calls and marketing actions as requested by Sales Leadership.
  • Participate in trade shows and community and professional organizations to maintain high visibility and the achievement of sales and revenue goals.
  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned and participate in task forces and committees as requested.
  • Interact with internal team members, clients, owners and suppliers to promote Food and Beverage for Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana!
  • Communicate with target customers and manage guests’ relationships.
  • Build and execute the selling strategy of the Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana to meet revenue expectations.
  • Understand the competitive marketplace and implement approaches to ensure the Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana stays competitive in the local market.
  • With Culinary and F & B Teams, Create and implement effective marketing strategies and tactical plans of Food and Beverage activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Reading and writing abilities are utilized often when completing paperwork and management reports, interpreting results, giving and receiving instructions.
  • Mathematical skills, including basic math are utilized frequently.
  • Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, and organizational skills are used often.
  • Ability to travel to attend workshops, tradeshows, conventions, etc.
  • May require a valid Driver’s License.
  • Must be able to move about assigned venue safely, with ease, and record guest information.
  • Required to work weekends and late nights, along with daytime office hours.
  • Must speak fluent English, other languages preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills to understand and respond to key business indicators and competitive trends.
  • Possess an outgoing personality with the ability to engage in conversations with prospective guests.
  • Excellent prospecting capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Experience in restaurant or food/beverage outlets required. Additional experience in hospitality or complex food/beverage outlets preferred.
  • May be required to work weekend and evening hours, along with daytime office hours.
  • Will require frequent travel to local organizations for business development

Qualifications

Must-Haves:

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent; some college preferred
  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years’ experience in sales and/or marketing, hospitality industry a plus.
  • Knowledge of Delphi FDC preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel preferred.
  • You will be exposed to an alcohol and smoking environment and must be able to work in such environment.
  • Must have the ability to secure and maintain licensure as required by Louisiana Gaming Control Board or any other applicable regulatory entity as may be required to perform assigned duties, or as required by Live’s operating standards.”

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently standing up or moving within and outside of the facility safely and efficiently.
  • Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Handling objects, such as promotional items, computer keyboard and phone.
  • Bending, stooping, and kneeling.
