Responsibilities
As an Enterprise Security Architect, you are responsible for designing and implementing robust security solutions for our clients that exceed their expectations and reduce the risk to the Enterprise and mission; you will work with Executive staff, security subject matter experts, policy council, infrastructure and cloud support, software engineers, test automation engineers, designers, and product owners to bring our teams conceptual solutions to life in a mature Agile/SecDevOps environment. You will be leveraging your experience by working with different application teams and technology stacks to provide our clients with exceptional solutions, updated process and functional implementations.
As a senior member of the security staff, you will play an key role shaping the direction of agency security and risk management programs by performing a wide array of Cyber Security support activities with emphasis on mobile and cloud security. You will continually assess the organization’s existing IT security program, tools and processes in relation to key agency mission, security goals, and objectives in order to develop and implement solutions resulting in improved security, service quality and delivery for all mission stakeholders. You will lead the development, engineering and implementation sustainable security solutions designed to address gaps within the agency information security program. You are required to assess and articulate risk in relation to mission/business objectives and processes. You will spearhead the documentation of security processes and status in support of agency risk management and modernization of security authorization (also referred to as C&A or A&A) and continuous monitoring activities.

- Implement and oversee cloud strategies include migrations and optimization
- Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers
- Automate and improve development, testing, deployment, and release processes
- Perform root cause analysis on complex business processes and technical components.
- Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
- Support enterprise Cloud applications or infrastructure through infrastructure as code including any activities around automated server or network configurations, large-scale software deployments, and monitoring and testing, such as CI/CD
- Document as-is state of the environment, perform a gap analysis, and produce artifacts that articulate options and recommendations
- Leverage virtualization and containerization to optimize and modernize software systems
- Act as an individual contributor and mentor more junior team members
- Engineer and implement solutions and provide recommendations for continuous improvement for the services provided
- Present regular status updates and provide cross training to other team members.

Required Skills
- Must be US Citizen with ability to obtain a public trust
- Minimum of 16 years of hands-on experience in the field of cybersecurity.
- BA or BS Degree in Computer Science, Statistics or relevant field, or equivalent experience required
- Expert knowledge of cloud architectures and implementations (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Extensive experience working with federal government agencies and a deep understanding of their security needs.
- Proven ability to design and implement security solutions that align with industry standards and regulations.
- Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical, non-technical stakeholders and Executive stakeholders.
- Experience developing comprehensive security architectures and strategies that align with federal government regulations and standards.
- Experience writing and evaluating user stories, acceptance criteria, and pull-requests
- Working knowledge of Git and repository providers such as GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Demonstrate sharp, analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
- Experience leading the design and implementation of security solutions, with a particular focus on cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Proven ability to design and implement security solutions that align with industry standards and regulations.
- Experience working in Human Centered Design, Agile and DevSecOps environments
- Experience performing risk assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability management.
- A passion to contribute to the full stack – the front-end, backend and anything in-between (middleware or otherwise).
